Hello Exorcists!
We're back with another “Letter from the Developers” to talk to you and show you what we're working on right now.
We are quite happy with the progress of the work for this important update, with, as always the goal of offering you the best experience of hunting supernatural entities.
Given the complexity of the task, and the importance of what we want to bring, we do not yet have a date to provide you with for the release of the update.
Here is a small preview of what you can find there.
A hodgepodge of equipment
A campfire at Camp Hope?
We decided to redesign the progression system, which we found far too linear, as well as the experience system, which we found too tedious.
We will adjust the experience players will be able to earn depending on the mission, map bonus, photos, etc. and we will also adjust the experience required for a player to level up, to make it more accessible for everyone, both at low level and at high level.
Progress System (Work in Progress)
Several things are to be taken into account on this part of the flowchart:
- At level 1, in addition to only being able to play games on "Simple - Short" difficulty, you will also not be able to face all the types of entities available in the game. As you can see, at level 1, during your hunts, you will only be able to come across Poltergeist, Revenant, or Memories. Likewise, you don't have the necessary experience to visit all the places yet, so you can only go to the "Lost House", the "Family House", and the "Cemetery of the Last Rest".
- As before, equipment is unlocked for purchase at certain levels, but now there are also entities that are unlocked according to levels. Thus, you can potentially fight the Shadow from level 6 and the Child from level 11.
- The maps, on the other hand, will be unlocked with the money you earn during your hunts, so it will be necessary to save it well in order to be able to go to new places.
Attention: Please Note
- The changes explained are not final, modifications and adjustments may still occur.
- This concerns the host of the team! That is to say, if the host of a team is level 10, then he has unlocked the Shadow. If the host has also purchased the ability to go to Camp Scout, a level 1 player will be able to enter their team, potentially hunting a "Shadow" entity at Camp Scout if they are on the host's level 10 team and that he launches a contract at Camp Scout.
We'll let you know more about the new experience system soon.
