Quick Demo Update: Patches v0.3.4 & v0.3.5 Deployed!
Hey again, future Liquidators!
Hope you're surviving the onboarding process! Thanks for jumping into the Early Demo and sharing your initial thoughts and bug reports – it's incredibly helpful.
I've been busy "liquidating" some of the bugs and adding a few improvements over the last few days. Patches v0.3.4 and v0.3.5 are now live!
Here’s a quick rundown of what’s changed:
Key Fixes & Improvements (v0.3.4 & v0.3.5):
- Engine Upgrade: I've moved the project to Unreal Engine 5.5! This is a background change that helps with future development and stability
- General graphic performance improved slightly.
- ! Finally fixed an issue where game won't start on some of the older hardware !
- Voice Chat Enhancements: Added much-needed microphone controls! You can now select your input device, adjust gain, etc.
- Interaction Bug: Fixed the issue where players joining a game couldn't interact with anything until they paused and unpaused.
- Crash Fixes: Resolved crashes related to dropping invisible prop items when training failed and interacting with prop meteorites in multiplayer.
- Gameplay & Visual Tweaks:
- Changes to the outdoor environment with colours, shadows and extra fog.
- Fixed door to the scaffolding area.
- Corrected ammo count display issues on the pistol and fixed visuals for empty magazines.
- Ensured all players teleport correctly during training transitions.
- Removed a strange flying magazine texture that could appear after training.
- Fixed a visual glitch with pager/watch display icon
- Addressed an issue where players could talk after death.
- Slightly reduced the forward camera tilt when sprinting.
- New Option: Added an Invert Mouse option in the settings.
- Optimization: Improved performance related to large flashlight shadows.
This is all part of getting the Early Demo polished based on your experiences. Please keep the feedback and bug reports coming via the Steam forums or Discord – they're invaluable as I continue development.
Remember, this demo is just the first step. There is already work started on the Early Access version with actual core gameplay loop, follow to not miss new updates!
Stay safe out there (or try to!),
