Greetings from the team at Nevergreen Games!
Mori Carta has been live for a little over a month and we are so happy to have seen so many people check out our Early Access release. The path before us is an exciting one full of improvements, updates, and fun! Thanks for choosing to support Mori Carta.
With that said, our first major update is live! We have seen several small updates, but this is our first large step forward towards release. Check out the patch notes here.
Some noteworthy highlights include:
-A new playable class, the Atoned! Their main mechanic Faith allows them to scale their power up throughout a fight. But the higher your faith, the more challenging it becomes to maintain. We're excited for people to try out this unique and challenging class.
-A new companion run, "Rael, He Who Grapples." Battle physical manifestations of the seven deadly sins. Each with their own way to wreak havoc on you and Rael.
-Reward changes! The system for dispensing rewards to the player in runs has been changed for the better! Players should feel a difference in how they build their deck, with new options being presented.
-Limited keyboard and controller support. Full functionality is planned for down the road, but we thought that these changes felt great when playing and wanted to share them with you. Effectively, the functionality works within the combat screen and shop, but not on the main menu or character select screen. We'll bring that later on.
Mori Carta is on sale! For those who haven’t had a chance to pick up Mori Carta yet, now is the time! Tell a friend about it, heck buy them a copy! Spread the word about the newest handless deck building roguelike on the market!
The road ahead for Early Access is bright, with new things just around the corner. We are committed to bringing the best experience we can to your hands. There will be a follow up rewards system patch to bring our vision of the system to the player. After that, the next major update will focused on updating the UI.
Feedback is encouraged and desired, whether it’s here on Steam, on our Discord, or through some other means. Please reach out! We love engaging with those who have chosen to join around Mori Carta, and hope that many more will embrace it as a unique edition to the roguelike deck builder genre.
Best,
Nevergreen Games
