Functions
● Scene layer switching: Press Shift+~ to switch to the object layer (originally, Shift+1~9 could switch between layers 1–9).
● In the Scene Editor, a new option has been added to the object layer's right-click menu, listing all layers under the current mouse cursor position for quick selection. (Right-click menu → Select Layer)
● Historical version engine
A new option has been added to the software startup interface, allowing you to freely switch between the latest engine version and the engine version corresponding to the project:
[Use Latest Version]: Always use the most recent version.
[Use Project-Corresponding Version]: Use the engine version that was current when the template was published. (Note that some features, such as cloud services, may not be compatible. If you encounter issues, please try downloading an older version of the software or switch to the latest version.)
For officially released game projects, locking the engine version prevents unexpected changes caused by engine updates.
Starting from v0.9918, for earlier versions, please manually download the historical version and copy the files over. Download the older version of the software, and copy the following four directories from the old version:
kdsrpg\\coreTemplate\\GameCreator2D\\behaviorView
kdsrpg\\coreTemplate\\GameCreator2D\\editorAsset
kdsrpg\\coreTemplate\\GameCreator2D\\GameCreator
kdsrpg\\coreTemplate\\GameCreator2D\\GameCreatorLib
Paste them into the corresponding directory under the new version (0.xxx is the version number); if the directory does not exist, you can create it yourself:
kdsrpg\\coreTemplateHistory\0.xxx\\coreTemplate\\GameCreator2D
● Particle trail effect implementation
Supports trail effects for particle animations placed on the scene, image layers, or UI interfaces when they move.
(When a particle animation is placed on the scene, an image layer, or the UI, it will automatically generate a trail effect whenever it moves.)
Note: Currently, rotating particle animations cannot be displayed correctly. If a template includes animations that automatically rotate based on direction, proper support will be available after a template update.
(For example, in the Black Book template, if the projectile uses a particle animation, you should uncheck "Bullet follows orientation rotation.")
(Particle animations are more performance-intensive than sprite-frame animations. Please use them according to your actual needs.)
● Added Publish Plugin to Local and Plugin Publish Content Manager
(This feature uses an external window for the GUI, with the operation interface generated by AI, calling the open interfaces provided by the editor. In future versions, these interfaces will be fully opened to allow AI-driven editor extensions.)
【Local Plugin Manager】: Allows you to publish plugins to your local machine.
-- Supports cross-project usage (for the author's personal use only; files are stored in the software installation directory).
-- Supports simulation as a cloud plugin installation (manually enter the cloud plugin ID).
【Publish Cache Manager】: Saves and backs up the published plugin content.
-- Supports custom storage and management (files are stored in the project directory).
-- Supports full backup.
● Plugin Publishing Changes:
-- Default skins and settings resources are prohibited from being uploaded.
-- When overwriting a plugin, the system will attempt to restore database modules from the older version of the plugin (only if the module variable names match). (Always remember to back up your project when overwriting.)
BUG Fixes and Optimizations
● Fixed an issue where clearing items using the right-click menu in custom commands and other areas caused the default block to be lost.
● Fixed an issue where, when installing a plugin with an ID lower than 1000, replacements were incorrectly applied (e.g., xxx_1 → xxx_2 would incorrectly change xxx_1001 → xxx_2001).
● Fixed an issue where, during runtime in linear mode with zoom enabled, seams between tiles might frequently flicker.
● Significantly optimized the efficiency of cloning objects when scene object modules are present (resolving occasional stuttering issues when respawning or cloning in certain situations).
API Adjustments
GameAudio:
Added global volume audioVolume: affects all audio volumes (multiplicative stacking).
Added a series of related dispatched events.
Added global video volume videoVolume: affects all video volumes (multiplicative stacking).
Added global mute settings as well as individual mute settings for BGM/BGS/SE/TS/video, etc.
Added Music Effect (ME): GameAudio.playME. When this music effect is played, BGM will automatically mute and resume after playback ends.
GCAnimation:
Added particleTailEnabled, default = true, indicating that trails are enabled.
Added particleTailScale, default = 1, indicating the trail multiplier.
ClientWorld:
Added event EVENT_INITIALIZING_SYSTEM_MODULE: string; – triggered during initialization (for system modules / system plugins).
Added event EVENT_INITIALIZING_GAME_MODULE: string; – triggered during initialization (for game modules).
Custom command phrase descriptions now include Game.data.customGameStringList, etc.
