Hello, engineers!
It's been almost 4 years since the last PixPhys update, and I think it's finally time to bring this project back to life.
First of all, I'd like to apologize for disappearing for so long and barely sharing any news about the game. A lot has changed over these years, but PixPhys has always remained my favorite project, and I never really wanted to leave it behind.
Today, I'm happy to announce that a new experimental version of PixPhys is available right now!
What's New?
This is a small technical update focused on bringing the game up to date and preparing it for future improvements.
Unity 6.0 — The game has been migrated to a newer version of Unity.
Bug fixes — Various minor fixes and technical improvements.
Localization rework — A new localization system is currently in development to make translations easier to maintain and expand.
Official Russian language support — PixPhys now officially supports Russian!
How to Play the Experimental Version
You can try the new version right now:
Open your Steam Library.
Right-click PixPhys and select Properties.
Go to the Betas tab.
Select the experimental branch.
Wait for Steam to download the update and launch the game!
Please keep in mind that this is an experimental build, so some things might not work as expected. If you encounter any issues, feel free to report them in the Steam Discussions or our Discord server.
What's Next?
I don't want to make any big promises or announce an ambitious roadmap. I'll be working on PixPhys whenever I have some free time, gradually fixing old problems and improving things that have needed attention for years.
Even after all this time, PixPhys is still very special to me. It was one of my first serious projects, and I've learned an incredible amount while working on it.
I think it's time to visit an old friend and give it some much-needed care.
Thank you to everyone who has played PixPhys and especially to those who are still here after all these years! ❤️
