After months of anticipation, we are proud to showcase Yaengard’s Demo 2.0 in the upcoming Digital Tabletop Fest on October 21st. Our new and improved Demo will be available from October 21, and it will be showcased live on Friday, October 22 at 11 pm BST as part of “The RPG Discovery Club” presentations (but don’t worry, there will be two additional showings to accommodate people in different time zones).
Steam’s Digital Tabletop Fest—which takes place October 21-25 —will feature hundreds of RPG games (both forthcoming and released works) and allow for players to chat with RPG game creators. Additionally, the event will include Talks and Let’s Plays with the makers of classics like Disco Elysium, Divinity: Original Sin 2, Talisman: Digital Edition, King Arthur: Knight’s Tale, Serin Fate, Wildermyth, and The Last Spell.
Yaengard’s Demo 2.0 retains the core elements of the first demo—such as tactical party-based combat, narrative adventuring, and the personality traits system— while including tons of noteworthy upgrades. In addition to completely transforming the game’s intro (with new dialogue, new music, and new scenery), we have revamped the visuals and abilities of characters in combat!
The heroes you create can now combine their weapons/equipment to gain over 150 special abilities, and, as heavily requested, characters are now able to swap items amongst themselves throughout the game. We also added ragdolls, revised the classes, added new loot, and improved the game’s clarity! With all of these modifications, you’ll have everything you need to build your own party and (hopefully) conquer the Aatanic Empire!
