Hello Community,
This update includes several bug fixes and improvements. I would also like to take this opportunity to explain the last two updates once again, as they were unusually large and raised a few questions within the community.
Unfortunately, these large downloads were unavoidable due to necessary changes to the game's internal file structure. Below you will find a summary of both the reasons behind these changes and everything included in this update.
Multiplayer
Character display issue fixed: A bug caused players who selected the male character to appear as the female character for other players. This issue has now been fixed, and the selected character is displayed correctly for everyone in multiplayer.
Clothing is now synchronized correctly: The selected clothing is now displayed correctly for all other players in multiplayer.
Attack animations are now synchronized correctly: Fixed an issue where the server host could not see a client's attack animations. Attacks are now synchronized properly between all players in multiplayer.
Note
If you create a session and a friend joins, please wait until the session has fully loaded before they connect. Otherwise, in rare cases, a desynchronization may occur. If this happens, it is usually enough for the affected player to simply rejoin the session.
I am already working on an improvement to prevent this from happening in future updates.
Optimizations
Internal game structure reworked: The game's internal file structure has been improved so that future updates will once again be significantly smaller.
The reason for this is that the recently introduced security measures made it more difficult for platforms such as Steam to identify changes between game files. As a result, even small modifications required unnecessarily large downloads.
With this restructuring, future updates will once again result in significantly smaller download sizes.
Since this restructuring is part of the current update, this update is also larger than usual. However, future updates should now be much smaller again.
