[0.16.6] Pathfinding Improvements, Stone Quarry, Food rebalance
[0.16.6]
Added
we added a stone quarry to the desert area that serves as an infinite source for stone for your construction needs (this might be removed from the game again once we have more resource types and a way to get stone infinitely in some other way)
Changed
when placing a blueprint, all overlapping resource items will be destroyed
this should eliminate the possibility of 'trapping' items inside buildings
this would then result in carriers being stuck trying to get and clean up these resource items
if there are overlapping items that would be destroyed, a warning is displayed before placement
we improved the balancing of food production
we reduced the consumption and production rates of berries (both were cut in half)
this means that the volume of berries to be transported is drastically decreased
as a result, large villages should now require about half the amount of carriers to sustain food consumption
where 1 carrier could provide enough transportation to satisfy about 1 other villager, the carrier can now support about 3 other villagers
we reduced the frequency in which the AI is looking for certain entities (items, villagers, storages etc.) which should considerably improve performance in large villages
we improved the visibility of blueprint validity tiles
Fixed
we fixed several pathfinding-related issues
trees and bushes have a smaller collision radius, making it possible to traverse tight gaps and eliminating occasional problems where the AI got stuck
villagers give up on moving towards a target item if they are stuck for too long. This is mostly relevant for old savegames where items could be in unreachable placed (like inside buildings)
we fixed an issue where items that were unloaded from pack mules (or destroyed stockpiles) could land inside buildings or the environment, making them unreachable
we fixed an issue where resource items that were lying around were immediately picked up by idle carriers, which could be annoying if the items were just unloaded from a pack mule for instance
now newly spawned items have a cooldown of 60 seconds during which carriers will not touch them
we fixed an issue where villager footstep sound effects were created without limitation, resulting in lots of noise and performance problems in crowded villages
