Hello Ranchers! 🤠💚
A new update is now available!
Make sure your game is updated to version 0.8.10.868.
🌱 Plantation Improvements
This update brings another big clarity pass to plantations, especially around understanding why seeds or produce were lost, damaged, or reduced in quality.
- When seeds or produce are affected by a plantation issue, you will now receive an alert on the End of Day screen explaining what happened.
- The reason will also be displayed directly in the affected Plantation Info Popup.
Possible reasons include:
- Seeds were eaten by birds → Place a scarecrow for protection.
- Some produce was eaten by birds → Place a scarecrow for protection.
- The plantation was destroyed by a season change → Make sure crops are planted during the correct season.
- The plantation dried out from lack of water → Keep your plantations watered.
- Produce quality dropped because of weeds → Remove weeds regularly.
- Produce quality dropped because of lack of water → Keep your plantations watered.
The Plantation Info Popup has also received several improvements:
- When produce appears, the popup now displays its icon and description.
- In addition to the planted seed name, growing season, and whether it supports multiple harvests, the popup now also shows the seed growth time.
- Plantation information is now displayed in a clearer and more detailed way, with the most useful information shown automatically.
- The Harvest button is now only displayed when produce is actually ready to harvest.
Hopefully, these changes make plantation behavior much easier to understand and remove the confusion around seeds or crops seemingly “disappearing”.
🌾 Removing Plantations
You can now remove plantations using your Hoe.
- Removing a plantation costs 2 Nature Skill Points.
- This balances the 2 Nature Skill Points originally awarded when creating the plantation.
🪓 Trees & Rocks
Cutting trees or breaking rocks outside your ranch will no longer trigger a police chase.
This is a temporary change while we work on dedicated areas in the open world where players will be able to gather larger amounts of wood and stone more naturally.
🛠️ Other Fixes & Improvements
- Fixed an issue where vehicles could not drive properly over player-built foundations used as bridges.
- Improved roof blueprint naming to make their purpose clearer:
- Roofs are designed to be placed directly above walls.
- Roof Extensions are used to extend existing roof structures.
- Updated the quest “Farewell, Nylon and Palace” so the objective now also validates if the player chooses to place a Wall with Big Window instead of only an Exterior Wall.
