Dear tinkerers,
I got another nice little update for you as we move into Steam Autumn Sale.
Three unloved modules got a complete overhaul into new kinds of passive modules. Further work went into UI and some bugfixes.
NEW: THE SPHERES
The three Grav. Injection modules were a bit clunky. By not picking them, you signalled to me that you didn't like them, so I gave them a little twist and turned them into three passive spheres. No wiring, no targeting, they just sit there and change the rules of the battle for as long as they are on a character rack.
Snow Globe (rare) Monsters have Frostbite. Replaces the Freezing Injection. Grav+ onto a monster turns into damage instead of slowing it down - turn your Decelerators into Blasters.

Bowling Ball (common) All combatants have Grav. Amplification. Replaces the Grav. Suppressor.

8-Ball (common) All combatants have Grav. Immunity. Replaces the Grav. Serum.

The spheres are marked as Unique modules: If you pick one of them, it doesn't drop another time. Also they never get offered next to the sphere that would cancel them out.
UX: COLORED TARGETING PROMPTS
Targeting prompts are colour-coded by what they actually ask of you now: green when a module wants to upgrade one of yours, yellow when there is an important decision about destroying or afflicting a module. This helps to not get confused when modules have two targeting prompts.
The blinking module cursor follows the same colour scheme.

UX
The end of a run pays out an additional camp material now
The Universal Paint Bucket from the Refinery in Camp is 1 cheaper
Fighting the final final boss is optional now. Beating the Stage 4 boss reveals it, but the way to the epilogue stays open, so you get to decide.
The timeline can be collapsed if there are 7 lines, period.
Tooltips are drawn on a new overlay layer that spans the whole window. Module, jack and camp structure tooltips no longer get cut off at the seam between the two screen halves and always stay inside the window. The confirmation dialog moved onto the same overlay for the same reason.
The module encyclopedia no longer lives in the two split-screen halves. It is one big fullscreen grid now that uses the whole width of your monitor. It now properly works when playing with gamepad or on Steam Deck and scrolls with the mouse wheel or the scrollbar
MODULE WORK, TABLES & UNLOCKS
The Toggled Null Sphere now only removes all Grav from all combatants (as the Grav. Immunity it used to hand out has moved over to the 8-Ball)
The Chain Amplifier only gets offered once you actually own two Passthroughs
The Smog Trap does not get offered anymore if you already have a Snow Globe
The Defibrillator is a Unique module now, so you never get offered a second one
I keep moving modules between the unlock tables, and until now that could cost you a module you had already unlocked. That is fixed: your progress follows the module wherever I move it, across the global table and the character tables, and anything you have already played with counts as unlocked. Sorry to everybody who had to grind one twice.
A few more modules are locked from the beginning to improve the new player experience but also make module unlocking even less grindy. Replicating Healing Potion becomes unlocked by playing Kimmy, Spark Plug: Debuff goes to Alice, Grav. Vacuum is not available from the beginning of game as to not overwhelm new players.
BUGFIXES:
Fixed a bug with several status effects collapsing into a single stack when loading a save game. Shout out to the guy with the 34 stacks of Vulnerable on the boss.
Fixed a firing sequence bug with a Toggled Nitrous Bottle activating before the Upgrader: Resonance
Fixed a bug with the additional Exhaustion from the Generator Upgrader not being properly restored on turn rewind or loading a savegame.
THANK YOU FOR PLAYING ROGUE VOLTAGE
