We’re excited to announce that The Deep has officially been renamed to Unshallow.
As development continued, we felt the project needed a more distinctive name, one that better represented its identity while remaining memorable and unique. Unshallow captures the unsettling contrast at the heart of the game: an ocean that invites you deeper while making it clear that some things were never meant to be uncovered.
This is only a name change. The game itself, its direction, and its development remain unchanged. Your wishlist and follow status are not affected, and you do not need to take any action.
You may still see The Deep referenced in older posts, videos, screenshots, or other materials while we gradually update everything. Going forward, all new development updates will use the name Unshallow.
