
The new year is here! 2021 will be full of exciting updates, features, and bug fixes added into Atlas Rogues. First up, is today’s community focused Freelancer update with all your playing and feedback from the holidays.
Su-Ren, Asana, and Dr. Finn have received significant updates along with every Freelancer getting a variety of changes. We have gathered a HUGE list of balance changes and crucial bug fixes to address community concerns.

Patch Notes – Update 4
Freelancers
Firepower
Zuki
- Felt that Zuki needed a minor health boost for survivability and reduced her armor to be more in line with a Firepower.
- Zuki's base HP increased from 235 to 250.
- Zuki's base armor reduced from 55 to 35.
Lockwood
- Added more "gun" to Run and Gun. Making Lockwood's ultimate feel more impactful to be used more.
- Lockwood Trapwire energy gain per hit reduced from 10 to 7.
- Run and Gun damage increased from 104 to 126.
Nix
- Nix is refining his shot and slightly increased his rounds to reflect that. Extra base HP added for this gremunk being too squishy. Nix is a bit too full of energy.
- Base HP increased from 225 to 245.
- Headshot damage increased from 105 to 116.
- Stalker Suit energy gain on cast reduced from 14 to 10.
- Overwatch Drone energy gain per hit reduced from 12 to 7.
Frontline
Asana
- Asana getting some quality changes across the board. We wanted to make it easier for her to acquire targets and fixed some of her bugs.
- Whirling Blade damage increased from 62 to 81.
- Whirling Blade may correctly destroy cover if attack is blocked.
- Rebounding Charge range increased from 7.5 to 9.5 and max range from 10.5 to 15.5.
- Rebounding Charge energy gain changed from 8 on cast and 12 per hit to 12 on cast and 6 per hit.
- Rebounding Charge may correctly destroy cover if attack is blocked.
- Stand and Fight now pierces all targets hit.
- Stand and Fight energy gain changed from 12 energy if hit to 10 energy per hit.
- Retribution energy gain changed to include 5 energy on use.
- Retribution shield cooldown reduced from 4 to 3.
- Guardian Angel shield affects Asana as well.
Garrison
- Making Garrison more of an all-around one-man army. Tuning his damage across his abilities and packing more punch. Reducing Hand Cannon damage slightly while adding more damage to Piston Punch and Heavy Metal.
- Piston Punch damage increased 68 to 76.
- Hand Cannon primary damage reduced from 104 to 94.
- Missile Barrage no longer stacks and will be used even if no enemies are nearby when triggered.
- Heavy Metal damage increased from 54 to 72.
Rask
- Trying to keep Rask in line with other Frontline while increasing outer arc damage slightly but reducing healing. Adjusting Upheaval energy gain to appropriately work for hitting multiple targets. Reducing the already high HP total from Rask to keep the kitty more in line and putting the Plasma into the ult!
- Base HP reduced from 415 to 400.
- Maul damage increased from 81/58 to 81/60.
- Upheaval energy gain change from 12 energy on hit to 8 energy per enemy hit.
- Augmented Regeneration healing reduced from 62/81 to 36/59.
- Uncontrollable Fury applies Plasma debuff to enemies hit.
- Uncontrollable Fury damage reduced from 40 to 22.
Titus
- Slightly increasing certain damage, energy gain, hp, and ranges as Titus sharpens his sword and flexes for the next battle. Making Titus feel more like a true warrior from the Wastes. Titus refines his dagger and finds the weak spot through applying Vulnerable now.
- Overhead Slam damage increased from 90/65 to 95/70.
- Berserker Charge range increased from 10 to 14.5.
- Thundering Roar energy gain on use increased from 5 to 7.
- Dirty Fighting cooldown reduced from 4 to 3.
- Dirty Fighting energy gain on use increased from 5 to 7.
- Dirty Fighting applies Vulnerable on hit. Additional damage per ally hitting target removed.
- Base HP increased from 300 to 320.
Support
Aurora
- Aurora receiving some minor adjustments to help her Paralyze more appropriately.
- Ion Cloud affects Aurora as well and energy gain fixed.
- Healing Flare energy changed from 8 energy on use, 7 energy per hit to 10 energy on cast.
- Paralazer cooldown reduced from 4 to 3.
- Paralazer range increased by 1.
Dr. Finn
Dr. Finn is feeling refreshed after the new year and each ability is getting splashed with a little extra. Added a little more tank in the tank with some minor HP improvements. A little extra bubble in Bubble Trouble for shield abilities to be more beneficial.
- Water Spout damage increased from 34/60 to 41/67.
- Water Spout range increased by 1.
- Refreshing Spray range increased by 1.
- Electrifying Eels typo fixed.
- Bubble Trouble shield amount increased from 121 to 158.
- Bubble Trouble shield now lasts 3 turns.
- Maelstrom damage increased from 71 to 94.
- Base HP increased from 225 to 250.
Helio
- Helio tinkered with some improvements to nanite technology and applied it across his shields for added survivability for more than one hit.
- Blast Shield increased shield from 86 to 124.
- Battleforged increased shield from 114 to 124.
- Battleforged now applies a new shield each turn for 3 turns.
- Battleforged cast range increased from 9 to 10.5.
Meridian
- Fixed a bug where Meridian was still applying Weak to nearby enemies when casting Reforge. Meridian can still apply Weak this way through Talents.
Su-Ren
We're finding a fine balance between her abilities and playstyle. Switching around the heal and dash free actions to allow more impact on specific turns. Increasing cast ranges to be on par with other Supports or melee Freelancers. Su-Ren ability ranges have gotten increased overall, so reducing some extra range from her movement. Trying out heal with haste, as it needed something extra and she's about mobility. Dash cooldown reduced for more flexibility and fun flying across the battlefield more frequently. Ultimate shielding added to substantially save an ally as intended and damage amplification added.
- Su-ren move range reduced by 1 after using ability from 7 to 6.
- Martial Master downward strike increased range from 4 to 4.75.
- Martial Master energy gain reduced from 12 to 10 per enemy hit.
- Serenity Radius reduced from 4.5 to 4.1.
- Serenity changed to full action.
- Serenity heal amount increased from 81 to 104.
- Serenity how applies Haste to self and allies for 1 turn.
- Shifting Winds changed to free action.
- Shifting Winds range increased from 7.5 to 10.5.
- Shifting Winds damage and healing reduced from 89/100 to 60/57.
- Shifting Winds cooldown reduced from 4 to 2.
- Shifting Winds energy gain reduced from 12 to 8 when used.
- Shifting Winds tooltip updated to reflect being able to use twice in same turn.
- Spirit-Bend now applies opposing buff/debuff to all hit by the ability.
- Spirit-Bend energy per target hit reduced from 8 to 4.
- Spirit-Bend range increased from 6 to 10.5.
- Spirit-Bend cooldown reduced from 4 to 3.
- Spirit-Bend can be targeted through walls.
- Karmic Justice range increased from 7 to 10.5.
- Karmic Justice shield amount increased from 150 to 475.
- Karmic Justice damage increases by 25% per target getting hit, up to 4 times.
- Karmic Justice AoE damage size radius increased by 1.
Gameplay
- New run recon updated to remove K9 testing map. Control Point testing remains, please share your feedback!
- Account levels and Freelancer levels capped until a future update with additional challenges and rewards.
- Accuracy wheel now displays in combat when abilities impact. The color indicates the type of hit.
- New player starting roster updated to Zuki, Lockwood, Aurora, and Garrison (replacing Helio).
- New run roster is now based on the previous run selections and those Freelancers appear as default.
- Resolved a softlock issue caused by AI and mission not being shown.
- Resolved an issue with enemy AI taking more than one turn.
- Resolved an issue switching between dead Freelancers (click on their portrait or press “Tab”) awaiting respawn.
- Bosses accuracy and defense stats have been adjusted.
- Recon - One of the gear choices in the Bored Genius recon will now correctly give gear instead of talent points.
- Escalation – Reduced the Plasma and Volt escalation to 25% on hit for those enemies to apply the debuff instead.
UI
- Added game speed adjustment button at the top right corner during combat.
- Typo fixed in gear related to energy gain.
- Added “Stronghold” text to Stronghold mission in the Atlas select screen.
- Added new player portrait diamond shaped icons.
- Fixed an issue that causes the HP bar to overlap healing or energy gain values.
Gear
- Fixed an issue with exotic gear not dropping after completing a Stronghold.
- Added icons to exotic gear.
Maps
In a recent statement Hyperbotics expressed optimism for the rollout of the new and improved Warhound K9 units. Assurances have been made that the new and improved model is more reliable than previous models. Meridian was quoted; "These new model are 9.2586% less likely to trigger aggression protocols when in near proximity to the inferior Hulkers that EvoS uses.
- Control point test map on starting new run has been updated with two new encounters.
- New Hyperbotics factory maps added.
- Fixed various broken terrain issues across maps reported by the community.
- Fixed issues with inaccessible areas on several maps.
Talents
Talent select screen can no longer be closed after choosing a Freelancer to improve. You can no longer close the screen and must select a Talent to proceed, as this was the original intention for selecting new talents.
- Free Candy talent issue fixed for applying buffs to enemies hit.
- Extra Dosage talent issue fixed for reapplying heals on extra turns than expected.
- Zuki Afterburners talent Free Action should now allow casting after movement.
- Support Cross Combo talent affecting Support Power should now correctly be increased after dealing damage.
- Support Cleanse talent should now remove debuffs correctly, like Volt and Plasma.
