we have a new Demo and a small update to the main game today:
Demo Release
As of right now, a demo version of the game is available to download. This version includes a smaller, restricted map with fewer points of interest and three harbors. Players can perform all the usual interactions like trading, buying items and upgrading their ships. There are treasures to find and pirates to fight, so the full range of gameplay can be experienced. To get a small head start, the demo starts players off in the second-smallest ship, featuring cannon slots and slightly better stats than the starting vessel.
Unlike the full version, progress in the demo is not saved, as it is intended as a short impression of the game - so while you can unlock larger ships temporarily, you will not spawn in them when restarting the demo!
Update 0.72
This version adds a new voice and text notification that plays when attempting to set sail while anchored, reminding players that they need to raise the anchor before leaving!
