The call to venture beyond the stars has returned, and this time, it’s bigger, bolder, and more unpredictable than ever. During The Game Awards 2024, we unveiled the first gameplay trailer for The Outer Worlds 2, promising a fresh adventure in a brand-new colony next year. No, really. The colony is completely new, and that’s a fact. Just, please—don’t break it. Yes, we’re looking at you, Hope-sun-launchers.
True to Obsidian Entertainment’s signature style, The Outer Worlds 2 lets you carve your path through Arcadia, a colony brimming with factions, intrigue, and chaos. This is the birthplace of skip-drive technology and the battleground where the fate of the galaxy hangs in the balance. As a daring, undeniably good-looking, and maybe-questionably-competent Earth Directorate agent, you’re tasked with uncovering the source of catastrophic rifts threatening everything. No pressure. How you handle these rifts? That’s entirely up to you—“Your worlds, your way,” after all.
Wishlist the game today and stay tuned for more updates on The Outer Worlds 2—we can’t wait to share what’s next with you. The galaxy is yours to explore; the only question is, how will you shape it? The Outer Worlds 2 will be released in 2025.
