Happy Summer Solstice 2023 to all!
CONSORTIUM VR development progress
Since our initial public release of our early Beta of CONSORTIUM VR onto the Quest AppLab on March 21st and here on Steam Early Access on April 21st:
- Number of BUGS FIXED --
117
- Number of ADDITIONS and IMPROVEMENTS made --
110
The combined releases of CVR Beta onto the Quest AppLab, Steam Early Access and CONSORTIUM Remastered Playtest have enabled many of YOU to help us find a huge chunk of those bugs above. THANK-YOU to everyone who has contributed to testing and reporting thus far!
Here are some key highlights of the game’s improvements and additions that we’ve made over the past 2-3 months:
- Virtual Trainer levels have been created, polished and balanced. We added a new "User Scenario" mode that allows anyone to submit levels (made with the built-in Editor) that will be included in the game, and we will continue to update post v1.0.
- The new Combat AI has been largely completed, including major improvements to the "traitor fight".
- The updated/new ending has received more content and a bunch of polish. Approximately 40% done.
- 95% of the conversations in the game have received a major upgrade, allowing for much more player freedom to navigate all conversations.
- Choreography throughout the experience has been polished and improved - we are roughly now 70% complete with all of the choreo polish work we still intend to make.
- The C3800 Defense "Mini-game" has been brought to approximately the 95% completion mark.
- The Info Console content has been vastly improved - hundreds of articles have been revised and updated, and there are now over 20 full-color images to be found (many more coming…). 50% complete.
Our plans regarding localization has changed since March, due largely to sheer number of improvements we’ve made to player conversation options to best support V.O.I.C.E. This means that we’ve had to translate thousands of new lines, so –
La traducción en Español está tomando más tiempo porque hay más diálogo por traducir pero pronto estará listo!
Additional languages beyond English and Spanish will be tackled post 1.0 Release.
CONSORTIUM VR: Behind the Scenes
Here is a fairly recent Sci-Fi Radio episode of “The Event Horizon” , where station manager and owner Gene Turnbow discusses his own experiences with CONSORTIUM VR and asks some great questions about its creation. "The Event Horizon" with Ryan Sheffer and Gregory MacMartin from iDGi
Gregory was also recently featured in the cool new pod cast “Architects of Imagination” where Gregory summarizes his career and goes into some depth about CONSORTIUM VR.
We will be continuing to steadily bring CONSORTIUM VR closer and closer to completion over the next few months, with new builds of all 3 "SKUs" coming approximately every 2 weeks. Wish us luck…
Back to the dev caves for us!
Namaste,
