Mercenaries joined the Conquest and raced to capture the wealth of the New World.
They came from Spain in search of adventures, new life opportunities, personal ambition but, most of all, looking for a quick fortune.
Indigenous communities were attacked and enslaved and any treasures they may have had (such as gold, silver or pearls) were taken from them.
Most of these men, with few if any morals and/or education, were responsible for cruel crimes and killings, willing to do anything to get what they wanted.
Mercenaries wore a great variety of clothes: pants, shirts, jackets or simple leather jerkins. They wore no uniform because they didn't identify with any military group.
Please remember, Mictlan is an indie project (independent), so with every like to our official channels, following us on Kickstarter, buying some cool merchandise on our store, you are helping our studio gathering the necessary funds needed for developing our game based on Mesoamerican cultures.
