Game Update v12119
New
- Clock added to the Status tab to show more precise time of day.
- Added basic spear crafting recipe to Act I (in shelter).
- Campfires should now be destroyable by hammer (more items to be added soon). Currently all campfires will return the same resources. In an upcoming update they should return the intended resources, but we wanted to get this functionality out asap rather than waiting for everything to be done).
Balance
- Large storage chest now has capacity of 250 instead of 80 (which was smaller than small storage chest now).
- Changed recipe for basic spear (softwood stick) to allow it to be hand/self-crafted, meaning requiring no workbench. The recipe requires a large branch and a stone knife (in a future update any knife will do). The knife will not be consumed in the precess, since you are just sharpening a stick.
Bugfixes
- Fixed an issue where temperature would be significantly lower than expected after exiting shelters (-10° extra to the intended temperature) in Endless mode.
- Animals should no longer spawn from "Cooking Outside Event" as long as campfire is in shelter or a cave at the moment of it being lit up.
- Fixed an issue where "Cooking Outside Event" spawning of Bear or Boar could trigger prematurely. (In story mode it should only be unlockable around Bonfire quest time).
- Fixed an issue where event spawned animals (Cooking Outside, Sleeping Outside) would stay forever and cause potential pile up of animals in an area. Running away a good distance from the area should make them go away.
- Fixed an issue where stamina would stop being regenerated after dodge (There still seem to be a few potential ways to bug this out. We are looking for more reproduction steps on how this happens).
- Fixed an issue where through crafting we could stack items at higher than intended stack sizes which could lead to errors, or even crashes.
- Fixed an issue where animals would look 'alive' after being killed and skins being relootable. (Their bodies will still stay there forever for the moment, we will fix this in future hotfix).
- Blocked usage of Quickslot Items during traversals which could lead to getting stuck or losing input.
- Temporarily removed fox skins from loot tables until foxes are fully added to the game.
- Removed "Large Campfire" recipe that could sneak into player crafting booklets. Remnants of the old Prologue / Demo.
- Fixed one case where we could lose sound completely after going into the adaptation screen (Core).
- Fixed an issue with fuel item (branches etc.) duplicating on loading a save game. (There still might be some in world from older save data, but new ones should no longer duplicate).
- Fix for Leather Waterskin not being craftable.
Visuals
- Fixed an issue where after hitting a specific tree its trunk would not match its stump and a minor texture fix for one of the trees.
- Fixed an issue with texture on bridge pillars.
UI
- Bait Widget had a visual update.
- Added visual representation for items for how many will be crafted when a recipe creates more than 1 item as a result of crafting.
- Minor tweaks to Quest Tracker alignment and sharpness of text.
- Minor tweaks to recipes so they show up properly in proper crafting categories (Campfire Cover, Leather Patch)
- Crafting Stations should now properly show up in Construction.
- Fixed an issue where Wolf Skin recipe would still show up in Leatherworking crafting table.
- Fixed an issue where Icon for "Left Arrow" was wrong.
- Fixed a missing icon on Antiparasitic Medication.
Stability
- Fixed a crash with LXR Light Detection.
- Fixed a crash with Lockpick.
- Fixed a crash with Consumable: Blackberry when used as Bait.
- Fixed a crash related to Cooking / Destroying Campfires.
- Fixed a crash related to Axe (attempting to morph axe without morphs).
Localization
- Various localization tweaks.
Launch Option
- We added a new game-run option for players who experience Graphics Card related crashes - "Winter Survival (GPU Crash Debugging)". If you are experiencing graphic card related crashes often, you can play on this mode and send us crash reports which will help us find information or resolve issues related to GPU crashes (This might affect performance as we are gathering more data for debug purposes).
