Hey everyone!
As we discussed before, we were lacking a couple of the assets needed in order to finish off the final biomes for the island in anticipation of releasing 0.8. We are still in the middle of that, so today will primarily be a quick sneak peek of one of the jungle trees.
This jungle tree, which you can see as the header of today's blog, will be the primary plant to create a canopy for the Jungle Biome (the lower layers of the biome are finished already), with the final jungle tree sporadically emerging from this canopy. Considering that we have finally found a good workflow for producing trees at this point, I am fairly confident that we will be able to show the Jungle to you next week!
We have also been working on the floor texture for the Pine forest area - Which is the final biome before the largest pirate fortress, which will house the artefact to complete the game. The pine tree for the area has already been created but is lacking a texture for its trunk, so once we complete that texture, we can finish off the world building to finalise the island.
