Deconstruction
Previously, when deconstructing a structure, any inventory contents would be wiped out. In 0.15.61, any inventory items will be left behind in small cargo boxes floating above where the original structure was deconstructed. This should give players a chance to recover items after deconstruction operations. Inventory boxes have a lifespan of 10 minutes. In the future, construction bots will have the ability to grab the contents of these boxes.
Ship Orphans
Orphaned ships occur when a ship's structure has been destroyed or removed. Previously you had to place down another valid building nearby for them to find a new home. Now, as long as they are within network range, they will scan the entire network for a new home, making it more likely they will become active again.
Additionally, orphaned ship lifespan was doubled to 2 minutes.
Quality of Life
Added a range indicator to the exploration center:
Added a toggle and hotkey to show/hide the player's combat units. When enabled, combat units will dock with the player and become invisible when no enemies are nearby, and undock when enemies are in the vicinity:
