■ June 14, 2026
Regarding the store page, the update will now be applied directly to this current App page.
I will post a new announcement later regarding how we will handle the freezing bug and other details.
Thank you for your patience. This is meʟ. I am currently working on a full remake of the game for a paid release.
The paid version will be released when "Chapter 1: Daily Life Arc" or the "Incident Arc" is completed, with subsequent chapters added sequentially via updates. Please note that the store page is scheduled to open prior to the actual game release.
Below is a report on the current development status.
■ Development Status and Changes
I am currently remaking the scenario, illustrations, and designs for Chapter 1 (Daily Life Arc). I plan to set up the store page by the end of this year. The game release will likely be between late this year and 2027.
[Regarding Changes]
There are no major changes to the core main scenario (such as the culprits, victims, and the nature of the incidents), but there are several event changes, a change to the mascot character, and the removal of certain sub-characters (e.g., Tabemi).
[Regarding the Illustration Remake]
I am drawing the illustrations by myself, but I am utilizing AI assistance for the posing and composition of some event CGs. I am also using AI for the majority of the backgrounds. Please rest assured that I am paying close attention to ensure the originality is not compromised. While I love drawing, I am not highly skilled at it; drawing bodies is especially difficult for me, and my drawing speed is slow. I believe my current drawing skills alone are not fitting for a paid game. Furthermore, I do not have the development funds to commission an illustrator. Therefore, to improve quality and reduce production time, please allow me to use AI assistance to an extent where I do not over-rely on it. More details will be posted on the store page later.
■ Regarding the Published Store Page
Due to a major update in the development engine over this long production period, loading game data from the currently published free version of Gisei Hero will cause a freezing bug. Therefore, I plan to create a separate store page for the paid version. Also, once the release of the paid version is decided, the free version on Steam may be deleted.*The page currently published on "Freem!" will not be deleted.
*Note for players who have played the free version partway: I am planning to implement a feature that allows you to select a specific point to resume playing, but since the content has changed significantly, I highly recommend starting from the beginning if you feel up to it.
*As for when the Steam free version will be deleted, it is scheduled for a few months to half a year after the paid version is released.
Finally, thank you so much to everyone who cares about and supports this project! I have started working on this in earnest, so I would be incredibly happy if you could wait just a little while longer ( ☛-☛)
Thank you for your continued support.
