We didn't.
Look, we've seen the threads. The black screen issues. The bug reports. The "last update 2022" comments. Yeah, we read all of it, and honestly? You had every right to be frustrated. Radio silence sucks. We get it. But here's the thing—we weren't ghosting you. We were in the kitchen. Cooking up something big.
COOKING SIMULATOR VR: ENHANCED EDITION is coming, and we completely rebuilt this thing from scratch.
WHY WE WENT DARK (AND WHY IT WAS WORTH IT)
We could've kept patching the Unity version, sure. Slap some band-aids on bugs, call it a day. But that's not what this game—or you guys—deserved. So instead, we made a call: tear it all down and rebuild it in Unreal Engine 5.5.
Yeah. We migrated the ENTIRE game. New engine. New everything.
That meant months of heads-down dev work. No updates. No flashy announcements. Just pure grind. And we know that looked bad from the outside. But we're here now with something that's actually worth the wait.
We fix the ship and bring it to friendly waters.
SO WHAT'S ACTUALLY NEW? (EVERYTHING.)
🎮 Rebuilt in Unreal Engine 5.5 – This isn't a patch. This is a full reconstruction.
Physics 2.0 – Cutting, pouring, flipping—it all feels right now. Like, actually satisfying. No more jank.
Hand tracking that doesn't suck – Your VR hands finally do what you want them to do. Precision cuts. Smooth grabs. No more yeet-the-pan-across-the-room accidents (unless you want to).
Cutting mechanics overhaul – Slicing veggies actually feels like slicing veggies. Haptics, resistance, the works.
Dynamic lighting & sun system – Cooking at sunrise hits different. The kitchen actually feels alive now with time-of-day lighting.
VFX upgrade – Fire, smoke, steam, grease splatters—all redone in crispy 4K. Your kitchen disasters have never looked this good.
🥽 Quest 3 & Quest 3S Support – Yeah, we heard you. Full native support now. No compromises.
🛠️ Community Fixes – Remember that bug you reported 2 years ago? Fixed. That UI thing? Fixed. Black screen issues? We went nuclear on those. All the stuff you've been telling us about—we went through it all. And if anything new will show as game is new we hit it strong.
✨ New Lobby System – Fresh UI, smoother flow. Getting into the game just feels better.

That's right. Just in time for the holidays. Decorate gingerbread houses. Frost layer cakes. Bake cookies from scratch. Make Christmas sweet as hell—or burn it all down trying. Your choice.
