An update is now live on Steam for the Arctic Cold Demo!
Demo Updates
The updates clarify that the demo is here to stay - I decided to keep it around longer than the Next Fest:
Removes the April 2026 expiry note from the main menu
Fixes the newspaper to allow it to adhere to the Interact key binding, even if it’s bound to a mouse button (and fix exit hint accordingly), and allow it to be scrolled with the gamepad
Adjust the outro dialogue to remove the reference to Next Fest
Fix some out of bounds areas being accessible in TheBeginning and SP03 (the sewers)
If there are no major issues found after this update, I'm going to consider the demo "done" until the full game gets an Early Access release.
Estranged Video Essay
I don't typically watch videos about Estranged, but someone shared this one with me and I thought it was a lovely overview of the games, well-researched and comprehensive, including the Arctic Cold demo.
