Stolen Realm v1.3.1 - Endless Roguelike, QoL Improvements & Major Bug Fixes

Hey adventurers!

The Stolen Realm v1.3.1 update is now live for everyone!

Over the past few weeks, many of you jumped into the beta, tested the new features, reported bugs, and helped us catch additional issues before the update reached the full community.

A huge thank you to everyone who took part. Your reports genuinely helped us improve this update, and several additional fixes were made during the beta based directly on what you found.

This update brings Endless Roguelike difficulties, more control over Roguelike builds, flexible Skill and Attribute Point reassignment, improved inventory and Fortune searching, performance improvements, and a large number of fixes across multiplayer, combat, skills, items, tooltips, progression, and more.

Let’s get into it.

What’s New?

Endless Roguelike Difficulties

Roguelike no longer ends at Difficulty VI.

After completing Difficulty VI, you’ll unlock Difficulty VII, followed by progressively higher difficulties for those of you who want to keep pushing your builds further.

How far can your builds go?

More Control Over Roguelike Builds

We’ve added a new Skill Tree Removal Roguelike power-up.

You can spend Roguelike currency to purchase removal points and then use those points on individual characters to remove selected Skill Trees from their random skill pool.

This gives you more control over the kinds of builds you want to create while keeping the randomness that makes Roguelike runs interesting.

Campaign Free Skill & Attribute Reset

You can now reset your Skill Points and Attribute Points for free while in town through the Character and Skill Tree menus.

Experiment away!

Improved Inventory Search

Inventory search has received a significant upgrade.

You can now search using:

  • Damage types

  • Attribute effects

  • Special effects and text

  • Rarity

  • Item types

  • Equipment types

  • Item names

Inventory searches now also provide autocomplete suggestions to make finding what you’re looking for easier.

Fortune Search

Fortunes can now be filtered using search tools, making larger Fortune collections much easier to navigate.

Performance & Major Fixes

We’ve also spent a lot of time working through reported issues and improving areas of Stolen Realm that players have been asking us to revisit.

Some of the larger fixes include:

  • Fixed map generation running twice, which could result in floating or duplicated island geometry appearing over the actual map.

  • Fixed an issue that could cause rooms to fail to rise correctly and begin shaking.

  • Fixed two characters being able to end up standing on the same hex, along with other issues caused by faulty hex assignments.

  • Fixed Heart of the Realm boss achievements not unlocking.

  • Fixed tiered gear on a non-host player's character being treated as un-tiered by the host, which could halve that player's Weapon Damage, flat damage, and Shield of Light.

  • Fixed items and gold traded to another player not being saved correctly on the recipient's side.

  • Fixed a saved-data corruption issue that could occur when returning to the live build after playing the beta.

Thank You for Helping Us Test

A huge thank you to everyone who opted into the beta, tested the new features, and sent us reports.

The purpose of the beta was to catch problems before this update reached everyone, and your feedback directly helped us identify and fix additional issues.

Please continue sending us bug reports if you encounter anything unexpected after today's release. You can share them through the Steam Community or join our Discord and report them in the Stolen Realm Bugs channel.

And yes, we're still reading your suggestions for what you'd like to see from Stolen Realm in the future. 👀

For now, jump in, push those Roguelike difficulties, experiment with some ridiculous builds, and let us know how far you get. Thank you again for your patience, feedback, and continued support.

See you in the Realm! ⚔️

Full v1.3.1 Patch Notes

Features

  • Added Endless Roguelike difficulties. After completing Difficulty VI, you unlock Difficulty VII and progressively higher difficulties.

  • Added a Skill Tree Removal Roguelike power-up that allows you to spend Roguelike currency on removal points, then spend those points per character to remove Skill Trees from that character's random skill pool.

  • Reassign attribute and skill points freely while in town, directly in the Character and Skill Tree menus. Partial changes are supported, so you can shift a few points without resetting your whole build.

  • Inventory search now matches effects and properties. Searches can match damage type, attribute effects, special text, rarity, item type, and equipment type instead of only item names.

  • Inventory searches now provide autocomplete options.

  • Fortunes can now be filtered using search tools.
