Civ VII Developer Video - September 2026 | Update 1.5.0

Update 1.5.0 and the Hall of History Collection land tomorrow in Civilization VII, celebrating the series' 35-year legacy by adding fan-favorite map types, classic civs and leaders, and more!

Update 1.5.0 includes:

  • True Start Location Earth map: Starting in the Antiquity Age, grow your empire starting at the location of your civ’s historic capital. 

  • Terra Incognita & Shuffle maps: These two classic Civ VII maps have been updated with improved map generation, meaning more randomness and replayability.

  • Updates to Resource generation and Diplomacy: Faster map loading and generation, more varied Resource placement, and new nuances to maintaining alliances when other leaders go to war.

  • UI Improvements and gameplay tweaks.
