This week on Radio we're featuring some songs from Avastar, our first Radio artist from the nation of Luxembourg! Chris Nickels, half of the band, apparently worked at a nuclear research center in Geneva for a while. Something in all those particles he was studying led to some great electro-pop. We present all four songs from their "Fake Plastic World" release.
Then in our ongoing quest to highlight eclectic music genres, we have some horror-ska (a new one for me) from Argentina's Calmanino. "Los Muertos" blends some Rob Zombie-like screaming with some trumpets. Is it a combination like peanut butter and chocolate, or more like peanut butter and pickles? Tune in to decide.
