After this patch, I probably won't be releasing patches every single day quite as consistently. It takes a lot of time to compile and release a patch (over an hour!) and I think that time would be better-spent working on the game rather than staring at my computer screen while nothing useful happens.
Most of the really bad bugs and crashes are fixed now, and while I still have a backlog of around 20 reported bugs that need to be fixed, most of them are extremely niche so I'll simply work on a few at a time whenever I get a chance. So, if it seems like I'm ignoring your bug reports for a few days, rest assured that I'm taking note of them and will try to reply to you whenever I'm ready to work on them.
Moving forward, my immediate focus will be to implement the Codex, the tutorial system, Siralopoly, and the arena.
With all of that said, here are today's patch notes:
- ADD: "Artifacts" guide has been added to the Codex. Please let me know if you think I missed any important information!
- ADD: Codex menu UI now has icons for every category.
- ADD: Card icons are now shown on the Divination Candle menu next to each creature if you own their card.
- CHANGE: Effects that manipulate which creatures start at the top or bottom of the Timeline (such as the "Agile" nemesis affix) now prioritize effects that start creatures at the bottom over those that start them at the top. It was pretty random before, and this change was made to make it more consistent.
- CHANGE: "Immunity" buff now also prevents new debuffs from being applied while it is in effect. This should also solve the bug that sometimes caused creatures to have multiple copies of the same debuff.
- CHANGE: Re-worded the "Awareness" trait since it was too vague before: Your creatures no longer take additional damage from Critical damage.
- CHANGE: Adjusted the priority of the "Divine Intervention" perk so it combines better with other effects. For example, it now allows the "Retribution" perk to activate.
- FIX: Ethereal gems now have a reduced number of Charges, as originally intended.
- FIX: Acquiring loot while in your castle will no longer give Emblems, as intended.
- FIX: Acquiring loot from Prophecies now uses your deepest realm depth you've attained to determine the items received. Previously, it used realm depth 1.
- FIX: "Decoration Mode" menu option will no longer appear in nether realms and boss rooms.
- FIX: "Book of the Dead" ignored Ethereal gems, and only looked at your first 3 non-Ethereal gems when determining which ones to cast.
- FIX: Crash related to a certain dough-related battle.
- FIX: Upgrading Spell Gems always spent 1000 Crystal. It should have been cheaper at lower tiers and more expensive at higher tiers.
- FIX: Attempted to fix a bug that caused players' spell gems to sometimes automatically un-equip themselves. Please let me know if you run into this issue after the patch!
