Team expansion

This is the first update that I didn’t have to create on my own. The first freelancer has started working on the game and helped me out a lot with making models for the game. Hopefully this will help to speed up the development.

Outdoors

You can now place all items outside. This means that you can build outdoor seating or even entire outdoor restaurants. You can also paint tiles that are not inside your restaurant.

Balconies

It’s now also possible to build propper balconies. This can be done by simply painting the upper floors without having a wall around them.

Auto fill

A little quality of life feature that I added is the ability to autofill floors and walls. You can now press shift to paint an entire room.

Fences

In one of my previous posts, someone pointed out that the balconies looked very unsave without fences on them. This update we added 5 different fences that can be used to decorate your restaurant, balconies and gardens.

Finance history

In the stats window, it’s now possible to switch between stats from this month and the previous month. This should make it easier to compare the performance of the restaurant between months.

Land buying

I reworked the way that land buying works, instead of buying land one square at a time, you now have to buy an entire plot of land. It’s also more expensive to buy land. This update might seem restricting and bad, but I believe that it helps to make the game more challenging and interesting. Making it harder to expand, forces the player to be more thoughtful about the layout of their restaurant.

Claw crane

In addition to the slot machine, the game now also contains a claw crane. More games will be added soon.
