Borderlands 4 is no stranger to controversy. After Gearbox Software CEO Randy Pitchford dug a deep, dark hole telling players that they'd cough up the eye-watering $80 price tag if they were "real fans," the developer ended up settling with a more palatable $70. And you thought Claptrap was annoying. Months later, Gearbox has now made another decision that is bound to divide opinion: one pre-order bonus is exclusive to the Epic Games Store. Many PC players prefer to buy their games on Steam, and depriving that loyal fanbase of rewards will undoubtedly stir up discontent.
