College Bowlers!
We hope everyone is enjoying the game and getting their College Football fix on! We're actively listening to feedback and bug reports and will continue to do so, in order to improve the game as much as possible.
This update includes several updates to gameplay we think you're going to enjoy. For starters, the blocking engine was somewhat broken for a majority of plays due to blocking routes being longer than one segment. This caused blockers to turn around and run to their spots, as opposed to back pedaling like they should have been doing. We've now cleaned up these plays to remove unnecessary routes to create better drop backs and make blocking more realistic.
We then took it one step further because we really believe the o-line/d-line interactions are key to a great football game and we wanted to create a better pocket for Quarterbacks to thrive in. Prior to this update, blockers would immediately run forwards and not form a cohesive pocket. Now blockers drop back by strafing and getting into much better positions before attacking their assigned defender. We're super excited to hear what you think, so be sure to share your cool "pocket" shots with us. 😎
The final item we wanted to share was the changes to the play calling UI. People have been telling us for a long time that scrolling one play at a time was a chore. This was never a simple fix because of the way the play calling logic was written.
The fact that we have almost 3,000 plays has made finding plays much more difficult, so now you can scroll 4 plays at a time and choose a button for each play. We also removed the "Disguise" and "10x" buttons because they are no longer needed. This will be a nice upgrade for those that love digging through playbooks searching for the perfect play.
Be sure to read below to get all of the details included in this update.
