First of all, here are links of scoring run videos.
Hyper Style: https://youtu.be/D-1crklblpM
Shield Style: https://youtu.be/tdRv5P--CeQ
In the videos, only the blue fighter is used, but this doesn't mean the blue fighter can achieve the highest possible score. I never calculate which fighter is the best for scoring because I want to leave suspense for players.
I didn't play so well in the videos as well. I think the potential highest score is higher than 150 mils.

There are three fighters in the game that player can choose from. Base on the order in the selection screen, I call the red one as Type 1, blue one as Type 2, and green one as Type 3.
Type 1 is made base on Raiden series. It shoots so wide that player doesn't need to worry about swarms. However, it can only concentrate when gets up above on the screen. It is relatively weak when fighting against middle-size enemies and boss.
Type 2 is an originally made fighter. It always shoots concentratedly and it has the highest speed. The adjustable secondary weapon can be helpful when fighting against swarms. But, this fighter has the lowest damage output in total.
Type 3 is made base on DDP SDOJ's Type B. Player has to press left and right again and again to fight against swarms. It cannot shoot that concentrate even though it is up above on the screen. It can do everything but not at expertise.

Style decides how to do scoring. Hyper and Shield match up with two unique scoring method. With Hyper, player can get additional multiplier when enemies are destroyed; with Shield, player can get additional multiplier by colliding with enemies' bullets.
If player's enemies' destructions is not constant, Multiplier will drop. Thus, control the timing of enemies' destruction is the key of achieving high score.
Taking hits does not have a connection between player's score on the surface, but when the game ends, an amount of score will be added to player's score. This amount of score varies mostly base on player's left health. It can take upper to 20% of total score.
