Update 1.0.17 – New visual effects and fixes

Hello Rulers

A new update has arrived on Steam, bringing sharper battle spectacle, better performance on large maps, and several important fixes across scenarios, diplomacy, multiplayer, and stability.

Battle effects improved

The battlefield should now feel more powerful when the great weapons of an age are unleashed. We improved the visual effects for:

  • Tanks
  • Artillery
  • Aircraft carriers
  • Chemical weapons
  • Nuclear weapons

From armored advances to devastating late-game strikes, your campaigns should now look more dramatic as empires clash, borders burn, and history is rewritten one decision at a time.

Performance and multiplayer

Large maps are the heart of grand strategy, and this update brings improvements for rulers who prefer campaigns on a truly global scale.

  • Improved performance on large maps
  • Fixed multiplayer desynchronization issues

Multiplayer wars should now be more stable, so alliances, betrayals, and border disputes can continue with fewer interruptions.

Scenario, diplomacy, and fixes

  • Fixed an incorrect reform name in the World War II scenario on the world map
  • Fixed a crash during peace conferences when pressing the “Available Obligations” button if one of the countries had occupied many capitals
  • Fixed an issue where AI countries could call allies into war against undeveloped land
  • Fixed various other bugs

A reminder about the music DLC

And while your armies march and your ministers argue over the fate of continents, here is a small reminder: Warnament also has a music DLC.

It adds grand, dramatic, and properly pompous music — exactly the kind of soundtrack a ruler needs while redrawing borders, preparing betrayals, or watching an empire rise from a single province.

Thank you for playing, reporting bugs, sharing your strategies, and building your own strange, glorious versions of history.

See you on the map, Rulers!
