It's never easy to admit it but yes, we are experiencing some issues with matchmaking while in parties with friends. We are working really hard to solve this problem and we apology. But have faith, we will be on top of it soon!
HOW IT SHOULD WORK
It's pretty easy, when you are in a party and everyone is ready, the matchmaking checks how many of you are there. If less than 4 it looks for single players to match with you and then starts (with or without other players), if you are already 4 players it immediately starts.
KNOW ISSUES
In some cases, the system doesn't work and the party it's not able to start any match. Here is some know issues about this problem:
- The party doesn't start any match and the wait keeps going on forever
- Some players of the party join a match, others get stuck on idle in the waiting room
- Some players are not able to join a party
WHAT TO DO?
You can try one or all of these solutions that seems to work in some cases.
- Quit the party (all players) and re-create it
- Change the player who is inviting others to the party. If you are inviting a friend, let that friend invite you.
- Restart the game and re-create the party
- Press F to pay respect
