The work I've done over the past couple days has primarily been on improving performance and reducing lag, with a couple other fixes as well. Here's what's changed:
- Improved graphics performance, the load on the graphics card should be greatly reduced
- RAM usage should be lower, although there's still more improvements coming for this
- Fixed a bug that stopped the health/heart icon from beating
- Fixed a bug that wouldn't allow you to change the music volume from the start menu
If you're having issues with lag, relaunch the game and change your graphics settings to a lower setting and see if that fixes it. If you just barely meet the system requirements, you'll probably need to set it to 'Very Low'. That should solve most issues, however some more optimizations are coming which should improve performance more as well.
The rest of the week I'll be working more on performance, AI pathfinding, and possibly a map system. A Linux port should be coming relatively soon as well.
Talk to you next time,
Corey
