Phew, this is without a doubt our biggest patch yet! And with that, we officially move into 0.2 territory (WOWZA). We're still hard at work on the story mode, but we felt that getting these changes out now could help satiate the like 3 people playing the game at this point (we love you!).
Gameplay Changes
You can now play with AI dogs!
- Add them through the AI Options before starting a game.
- Have up to 3 AI join your match.
- Easy, Moderate, and Hard difficulty available for each.
Solo players, rejoice! Gone are the days of competing only against your high score. While we are still working to make the AI more robust in the patches to come, we felt that getting them out sooner rather than later would be beneficial to anyone playing solo.
Diminishing Returns GameMode (Off by default)
When on, stock price will drop slightly every time a player sells a stock.
- Can be toggled on and off (off by default) in the Adv. Options menu before starting a game.
This is a new idea that we're trying out. Playing this mode rewards players who think quickly, and also rewards those who are patient by giving them a cheaper stock to buy.
UI Improvements
Round Counter is bigger
To help those with WEAK EYES!!
Background movement can be toggled off.
- Find it on the main menu under Options > Game > Moving Background
While we love out Earthbound-inspired backgrounds, we got some complaints that the backgrounds can cause motion sickness.
Bug Fixes / Misc
All dog bark volumes reduced by 30%
Cats meow volume reduced by 70%
We love to hear everyone BORK, I swear! We just felt that it was... Perhaps a little too distracting. Cats meow was particular grating, so we turned that son of a bitch wayyy down.
