Welcome one and all to the latest version of Shisensho Solitaire!
Version 1.2 introduces two new board sizes to fit between "Mini" and the current "Large" size. The new boards, "Small" and "Medium", both have corresponding Time Attack leaderboards and personal top 10 rankings.
You can change the board size in a Regular, Casual or Time Attack game before you click your first tile. There's a new icon in the toolbar, or just press "B". There's also a setting in Options if you prefer.
By the way, pro tip, you can also change the background color on the fly. Simply press "G". :)
For the achievement hunters among you, there haven't been any changes. BUT! With smaller board sizes, you should find it much faster to earn those achievements for 50 and 100 wins and losses. Can you get 100%? Sure you can!
Another addition is "30 seconds" (!!) for the Mini Game timer. That may sound crazy, but a good challenge for our hardcore players. For an easier experience, there are already options for up to 90 seconds or simply disabling the timer. See Options -> Advanced Settings -> Mini Game Timer.
Speaking of easier experiences, version 1.1 added a way to switch directly from a frustrating Regular or Time Attack game to a Casual mode game. This is especially helpful if you're stuck looking for a pair of matching tiles and feel like giving up. Now, you can switch to Casual mode and use the Hint and Shuffle options to continue the game. Here's how:
Of course, this means that the Time Attack stopwatch will disappear and the win will count as a Casual one, but it's better than quitting out of frustration, right?
