FPP animations can change the whole style of the game. That's why we decided to go back to the drawing board and ask some talented animators to cooperate with us.
We started our work by collecting references from World War II weapon experts. We also consult progress and ′′feeling′′ related to individual weapons with them at later stage. We took our animators to the shooting range where they could feel the way the individual weapons behave, the way they react, and so on.
Remember we're talking about a small INDIE developer here!
We have compiled a huge amount of documentation, video materials, and photos and returned to work way much more experienced. The next stage was to purchase replicas of weapons. Thanks to this, we don't miss any detail, and the final effect is at the level we are satisfied with.
We invite you to watch our next episode from the developer's dairy series.
