Time flies! Somehow a full year has passed since we launched Hades II v1.0 after more than a year of Early Access development. To everyone who aided Princess Melinoë on her fateful task, thank you so much!ːmelprayː
See below for a few exciting notes to mark the occasion, but first, please enjoy this anniversary artwork by our resident illustrator Jeremy Anninos!
Noclip Presents: Developing Hell II
We're excited to team up with Noclip once more to bring you a multi-part video documentary about the making of Hades II, our biggest project to date! Noclip previously documented the making of the original game in the Developing Hell series, so we figured a sequel series fit the theme! Watch the first episode:
Please consider supporting Noclip via Patreon to be the very first to see each episode!
Ballads of the Underworld
Back in June, we put on a one-time-only live orchestral concert featuring songs from both Hades games and more, at a sold-out show at London's Royal Festival Hall! We're pleased to have a full concert video now available for your viewing and listening enjoyment:
We're also planning to make the Ballads of the Underworld album available for purchase and free streaming wherever our music is available.
Princess of the Underworld T-shirt!
To mark the occasion, we also have a new Princess of the Underworld T-shirt now available at Fangamer!
It features the Underworld's own Princess Melinoë ready to set forth on her fateful task, armed with the sister blades Lim and Oros.
Hades II: Steam Frame & Steam Machine Verified!
Did you catch Valve's reveal of the new Steam Frame VR Headset? We're honored to see Hades II as one of the featured titles showing off what it can do.
Having tried it ourselves... imagine playing Hades II on an enormous, theater-sized display! That's how it looks and feels on Steam Frame. If you get a chance to try it, let us know what you think! Hades II is also verified for Valve's Steam Machine.
Thanks for reading! Hades II was our first-ever sequel and took us around five years to create. After the v1.0 launch, it went on to become the best-reviewed game of 2025 and earned the award for Best Game on Steam Deck here on Steam, which was incredible for our team. More importantly, its success means we're able to stick together and keep making games the kinds of games we hope can leave a lasting positive impression on our players, which has always been our foremost goal since we started in 2009. Thank you for sticking with us, and may moonlight guide you out there!ːmelhappyː
