Hi everyone! BadFox Eddie here, with a patch fully loaded with features, updates, and a new trooper!
Here’s a quick breakdown of what to expect in this upcoming patch:
- Minimap - See the whole map, including your allies and any enemies in their field of vision
- Clarity Part 3 - The final step of our clarity patch, updating sounds for all guns, abilities, and ambience, along with a final coat of visual polish
- Glorgan joins the Squad - Glorgan brings a new type of front-line support to the battlefield
We have been and will continue to, collect feedback regarding clarity, so make sure to join in on the Q&A after Friday’s playtest in our Discord Server or anything else you want to talk to the devs about!

Minimap
Today we’re rolling out a new feature for players – the minimap. With this we hope that you guys will be able to see what’s going on around the map more clearly and strategies with your team more through the chat feature we put in last patch.

Some key features of the minimap:
- Allies will always be visible on the minimap
- When an ally takes damage they will pulse on the minimap
- Enemies will be visible when they come into any ally’s field of vision
- Control points will be visible on the map, with filling or emptying team specific colours
With the implementation of the minimap, we are removing the edge of the screen UI in order to consolidate player focus on one place when they want to look, instead of having to scan around the edge of the entire screen.
Sound Update
All sound has been overhauled in the game. There are additional and improved sounds for levels and Troopers and volumes have been rebalanced to give a better and more immersive playing experience.
Sounds have been attenuated to allow players to understand where and what is going on around them by audio queues alone.

Glorgan

Glorgan is the culmination of Alien tech – a huge, unstoppable piece of machinery armed with a Laser Cannon and rallying beacon. Built specially to defend Nebular from both enemies and overzealous fans, Glorgan’s defensive capabilities will keep your Squad safe from harm and enable them to run away or engage with extreme velocity.

Super Meter 2.0
All troopers can now charge their Super Meter while any of their abilities are on cooldown. Once the meter is full, the next ability will have added effects like more damage or more range!
But Beware! If you use an ability while your meter is partially full you’ll lose the meter you’ve built up, so watch your meter and make sure not to waste it!

We felt like the battlefield needed more headbutts and SC agreed, so we dropped its cooldown.
