v1.0.23 Release notes
- Added: Quest Item Notifications Popup. There are “quest items” that go straight into your inventory. Most players are not aware of these items as the only way to see them is to pause the game and open your inventory. Now a UI notification will appear to make it obvious.
- Added: WASD controls. Now players can use controller/gamepad, keyboard arrow, or keyboard WASD for controls. Customizable controls are still intended down the road.
- Removed: Mute key (M). Most players were not aware of the mute key, thus when pressing it on accident they weren’t sure what happened and how to get the sound back on. Sound settings intended to be added down the road.
- Removed: Touch/Mouse controls. These were never intended for this platform.
- Edited: Controls Explanation graphic. Reached by pausing the game or visiting the computer in the basement of the title screen.
- Added: Version Number. When pausing the game you will now see the version number (currently v1.0.23) in the bottom right corner.
- Added: new book. Ethel the Aardvark.
- Added: Two new levels. Floor 40 & 41.
- Added: The name “Taco” to the Suggested Cat names. Cycle through name suggestions by choosing the ??? on the naming prompt.
- Other miscellaneous dialogue additions/edits, bug fixes, and minor changes/fixes/improvements.
- Added: Ability to pet the cat when laying on the window sill. Intending to add more cat interactions down the road.
