Wow Beat Blast is finally in Early Access! We are super excited to get a ton more content in the game. New sounds, bosses, enemies, levels and a bunch more abilities are on the way.
Currently we are working on level 4. It's coming a long great, most of the enemies are finished, now it's just down to the boss and mini boss. After level 4 is added to the game we are going to work on a huge ability update. More details on that soon. Here is a sneak peak of level 4.
Here are the updates that went live today (Aug 17)
Features
- VSync is now an option in the visual settings
Balance
- Meg's mines explode if they hit a wall
- Shops won't appear in play mode unless the player has 50+ bits
(Compete mode works the same as before)
- Turrets and Mines bounce off walls, even without Echo
- Scatter shot and Mines start unlocked
- Turrets last far longer and disappear either after their duration expires or they fire 3 shots
- Turret + Purple now fires several turrets that each shoot one shot at a time (previously, one turret was fired that could split its shots into multiple targets)
- Turret damage increased by 50%
- Movement speed boosts give a flat 15% per stack (previously started at 30% and then halved that with each pickup)
Bug Fixes
- Fixed a case where a player with no save file yet could acquire abilities that
normally need to be unlocked
- Resolution scroll list scrolls faster with mouse wheel
- Performance improvements with large numbers of stat boosts
- Fix for rare freezes on game startup if steam overlay or usb device disconnected
occurred during a loading screen
