VR FAQs
Q. Do I need a VR headset to play this game?
A. Yes. We may introduce a non-VR mode in the future, but for now, this game is only for VR.
Q. Which VR headsets are officially supported by Space Ops?
A. Oculus Rift and HTC Vive. You can also play the game on any headset that supports Windows Mixed Reality.
Q. I’ve never used a VR headset before, do you have any tips for me?
A. If you have never used a VR headset before, you will not know how your body may respond to it. Always try and play the game sitting down at first. If you begin to experience nausea first try to use the teleportation system instead of the smooth motion and see if that helps. If it does not please pause the game (no need to take the headset off yet) and try to collect yourself, if you feel better after about 10 seconds, then you can continue playing. If you still feel bad, shut down the headset, take it off, and take a short break, only return to SpaceOps when you are feeling better again. This is not an uncommon reaction to playing VR games, and in most cases, with patience players can overcome the initial VR sickness and play without problems.
