Join Discord + SOLO/CO-OP mode

Hey everyone,

Firstly - thank you so much for all the support and love. We are really grateful so many of you like the game and want to help us design it. It’s a whole world we have set out to create and that is no small task. But with you on our side, the sky is the limit.

DISCORD

We talk to our community every day on our Discord. So make sure to join and help us out:

JOIN OUR DISCORD!

We’ll post dev progress, talk ideas, design, feedback and everything else there.

The closer we get to alpha testing, the more we will rely on our Discord community.

SOLO AND CO-OP

While talking to the community we realized that some of you would love to play the game but don’t really enjoy PvP. That’s completely fair!

That’s why the game already includes an optional sandbox SOLO and CO-OP mode.

We believe that the game’s PvP base will benefit solo mode a lot, because of how polished and elaborate our gunplay already is (and will continue to be).

At the same time, solo mode will help the PvP side too, since it pushes us to develop things like NPC enemies and AI threats, which are key for a fun solo experience.

BONUS TOPIC - BULLETS

Some players have expressed concern that bullets don’t work underwater.

That’s actually not entirely true. If you check YouTube, you can find plenty of videos where people shoot regular guns underwater.

On top of that, in history, there were several types of underwater firearms that shot special dart-like projectiles instead of regular bullets. That’s exactly why one of the first mid-tier weapons in Anchor is a dart gun.

As for the late game weapons - those use supercavitating ammunition. This is a real type of ammo designed to travel long distances underwater by creating a small gas bubble around the projectile, drastically reducing drag.

So yes - our bullets do work underwater, but they’re backed by real science. The only thing we are doing is stretching shooting distances a bit to make sure the gameplay is fun.

Making the game fun for you all is our biggest priority.

Thanks again for all your support and for being part of this journey.

We can’t wait to build this game together with you all.
