Today we would like to introduce the Island - a command centre where all tough decisions are being made and where you can find your elite personnel.
Management
You will assign your trusted people to various rooms - each unlocking different bonuses and allowing access to different orders.
On the surface, the officer management may seem very simple - assign your people in order to ensure the high efficiency of departments. Obviously more experienced officers will provide higher bonuses. Each room is responsible for different sections of the carrier and assigning an officer will boost the section's performance. There is, however, a lot more to it.
Not all officers can be assigned everywhere on the Island. It is important to have both aircraft officers and navy officers on the rooster. Each room on the island is described as “AIR” or “NAVY”. Officers can be assigned only to rooms they specialise in which must be taken into account during the recruitment process.
Admiral
Then, there’s the admiral. The admiral is a special character that you can customise at the start of the game and develop over time. He’s unique in a sense that he can work in both AIR and NAVY rooms which means he can close the gap in your rooster - but only one thing at the time.
Orders
Finally and perhaps most importantly, each assigned officer counts either towards AIR or NAVY focus and allows you to issue special orders. Different orders require different distribution of officers between AIR and NAVY rooms. For example, there’s the carrier resupply order used to engage this crucial operation or the defensive order used to assume defensive position against known incoming attacks.
Your officers are not machines - they will tire and require rest. Send them to Officers’ Quarters when they’re exhausted.
Officers will become your most trusted companions during dangerous missions on the Pacific Ocean.
