In the new upcoming location which is almost complete ("The Screaming Swamp"), a new terrain system allows extremely large locations (this one is about five miles in diameter, but could potentially be hundreds of miles if you want a really big walking simulator), and also will li
The new build contains two new locations, each about half a mile in diameter: "The Barrens" and "Martha's Marsh". The new build is also streamlined to reduce memory usage and build size (100 MB smaller despite more content). There's at least one known glitch: in "The Barrens", th
For the newer locations, the "Begin" button only works if you click on the lower half. The next build (possibly tomorrow) will contain a fix, but in the meantime you can just click on the lower half of the button and it'll work. There is also frequently a delay after clicking on
New build with a new location, the McGurkville Swamp. Also fixed a glitch that had caused a strange delay when selecting a location to investigate. There may still be a delay when clicking "Begin", however, for the newest locations.
The latest build contains two new forest locations which are each about a third of a mile in diameter, the newest in a line of dark locations. There are still some glitches: it seems to take far too long to click on the buttons for these locations (both the entry in the location
The latest build contains another dark location, a cemetery in the town of Mumford, in addition to some fixes and graphics improvements.
The new build contains "Spudge's Water Park" (a semi-dark location), and the default number of pixel lights has been boosted to 24 (which shouldn't affect framerate) to keep the lights in portions of Spudge's from flickering, but existing players (who already have a user settings
Another "dark" location, Spudge's Water Park, is finally nearing completion despite some technical difficulties that kept it long delayed. Here's part of the concessions court:
The latest build contains a new location : a 19th century warehouse which has remained disused for unknown reasons despite multiple recent owners. Like the last one, it's another dark location. The build also contains some new types of ghosts, and some minor fixes.
A new build has been uploaded with a new location to explore - an abandoned 19th century underground warehouse - along with some additional minor changes. Many people requested more underground / dark locations, so this is the first of a series that will hopefully be completed wi
- Fixed bug that caused a "loss of consciousness" message to sometimes display when ending an investigation even if you didn't actually lose consciousness. - Fixed bug that sometimes caused the alerts to seem random, due to the message system being overloaded if there were too ma

The new build has poltergeists in a few locations, although more adjustments will be needed. The help section doesn't currently include a section on poltergeists, which will also be added later.
The current build should fix additional problems with ghost spawning and similar gameplay issues. Hopefully the next build will finally have one or more new locations.
- Fixed a severe bug that sometimes prevented any entities from spawning after a certain point. - Fixed glitch that seemed to use old rank point levels rather than the new, lower ones. So when you play the game again, you may find yourself suddenly promoted (meaning you should ha
Work-in-progress: new surface for mining tunnels, produced mathematically on-the-fly so that the pattern is extremely varied and volumetric, based on 3D coordinates so it looks more like actual rock veins, although right now this isn't also the case for surface normal mapping. Th
-- New and (hopefully) improved intro when starting a new game. -- Hand-held devices no longer display a shadow (which some people interpreted as the player's shadow). A known bug was discovered but not fixed yet: If the player becomes even slightly faint and then quits the inves
New build with following changes: - Another significant adjustment to rank requirements (a lot lower than previously) which means some players may find themselves being promoted suddenly after their next investigation after updating. - The amount needed for the next rank is now s
The latest build includes a new device: Melvin Gumm's "Anomaly Radar", which displays a radar-esque representation of the location of nearby anomalies. The device is available at one of the upper ranks. Screenshot of the device.
This update fixes a problem in the rank information (the new, lower, requirements weren't being used, and many of the descriptions were munged, and probably had been for some time). That should be fixed now. A new device was also added: a combination EMF meter and temperature gau
