Hello everyone! It's been a while since my last Steam development update. The reason is simple: development has been moving forward quickly, but much of the work has been highly repetitive. Thousands of renders, scene revisions, technical adjustments, and then more renders. Progr
Hello everyone! Today marks the end of another major stage in the development of Chapter 3. For the past month and a half, most of my time has been spent working on the visual side of the chapter — editing, scripting, rendering, re-rendering, post-processing... and occasionally d
Hello everyone! Over the past weeks, I've been focusing on something players rarely get to see - the underlying story structure. Before writing new scenes, I wanted to ensure that every major storyline, character arc, and branching path fit together properly. That foundation is n
Hello everyone! It's already been a week since the release of Special Request: Chapter 2. First of all — thank you! The launch has been significantly stronger than Chapter 1, and it's been great reading your comments and discussions over the past week. Launch Discount If you have
Hello everyone! Today is finally the day. After a longer-than-expected review process, Special Request: Chapter 2 – The Alignment has officially been released on Steam. Thank you to everyone who stayed with the project throughout the wait. Your reviews, feedback, bug reports, and
After what felt like an endless review process, Chapter 2 has finally been approved by Steam. The review itself turned into a small adventure. First, there was a missing Content Survey category that I couldn't even edit because Steam automatically locked it after review. Once tha
While Chapter 2 continues through the Steam review process, I decided to use the time to revisit Chapter 1 and make a few improvements. This update includes: Steam Achievements Mac support fixes Various small improvements and adjustments The achievement system has long been somet
After months of writing, rendering, coding, testing, rewriting, fixing things I broke myself, and then fixing the fixes... Chapter 2 is complete on my side. Today I submitted the final build to Steam for review. At this point, the remaining timeline largely rests with Steam. Revi
This week, I made a terrible mistake. I decided to “take a short break from rendering” and focus on coding instead. Naturally, this immediately turned into two straight days of suffering. Apparently, it was not enough to simply create a system where you can ask Laura questions. I
Over the past few weeks, I’ve been sharing more about what Special Request is — and where Chapter 2 is heading. So I thought it might be interesting to try something different. On the subreddit, there’s a thread where you can ask Laura questions directly. It can be personal. Awkw
Chapter 2 has reached another major milestone. I’ve been focusing a lot on setting expectations and clarifying what the game is over the past couple of posts. So here’s a more direct update on Chapter 2. At this point, roughly three-quarters of the visual content is complete. Tha
I’ve seen a wide range of reactions to Chapter 1, so I want to clarify something up front. Special Request is not a fast-paced adult game. It’s a slow-burn, choice-driven story about pressure, reputation, and corruption. The adult content is there, but it develops gradually and i
So far, I’ve been posting weekly updates focused mostly on development progress. As Chapter 2 approaches, I want to make a slight shift. Instead of only showing progress, I’ll also start sharing more about the story’s direction, what to expect, and how Chapter 2 builds on what Ch
Chapter 2 has reached another major milestone. The store page has now been submitted to Steam for review. At the same time, Week 1 of Chapter 2 is fully implemented and already in testing. In terms of playtime, this single week is slightly longer than the entirety of Chapter 1. W
Chapter 2 has reached an important milestone. All images and animations for the first week are now complete. In terms of volume, this single week already contains more events and visual content than all of Chapter 1 combined. Chapter 2 is shaping up to be significantly larger and
Last week, I mentioned that hundreds of images and dozens of animations had already been completed. Since then, the number has grown significantly — and I can share a small preview. Below are a few early shots from Chapter 2. These come directly from in-progress events and reflec
This past week has been intense. Work has fully shifted into production, and I’ve now created hundreds of images and dozens of animations for Chapter 2. The visual side is progressing quickly, and the events are starting to take shape. I’ll share some previews next week. Thank yo
Chapter 2 development is moving forward steadily. All main dialogue for the chapter has now been written. This is a major milestone — it means the full narrative structure is locked in. Starting this week, production resumes on visual work: rendering of images and animations is n
Over the past week, I've been deep in the writing phase for Chapter 2. More than half of the Chapter 2 dialogue is now complete, and I expect to finish the remaining half this week. For me, this is always the most challenging part of development. Images and animations are differe
Chapter 2 is not expanding for the sake of scale. The image count is higher. The animation count is higher. But that isn’t the real difference. Chapter 1 established tone and direction. Chapter 2 changes weight. The escalation is both structural and psychological. The adult conte
