While Diablo 4 has been finding its feet again of late, if you're feeling like a break then a Torchlight Steam sale is the perfect opportunity to get some distance from Blizzard's game and discover two of the best Diablo-style releases ever. With the first two games in the series
Five of the Best is a weekly series about the bits of games we overlook, those poor old things. I'm talking about crowds, potions, mountains, hands - things we barely notice at the time but can recall years later because they're so important to the overall memory of the game. Now
It's Friday, which means the weekend, which means a few extra hours to be wrung of all their gaming worth (unless you have other plans, but that's totally okay too). However, should you find yourself inexplicably game-less as all that additional play time stretches ahead of you l

Bloom: Memories is an ambitious action RPG that’s going to try to marry the exploration of Zelda, the stealth of Thief, and the living world of Harvest Moon. With a big emphasis on clever solutions beyond violence and a really beautiful batch of concept art, I’m not surprised tha
Indie hit Torchlight, the action RPG that pushed all of our kill-loot-kill buttons in the decade between Diablo 2 and Diablo 3, is now available for free from GOG. The DRM-Free Summer Sale launched early this morning, and it'll run for 17 days and feature over five hundred games
Months after players have eked the last drop of content out of the vanilla version of Torchlight II , modders are still going strong, twisting, re-vamping, and moulding the game into whatever they please. But while there are many fine mods out there (more than I could hope to kee
You don't realize just how good a gaming year it's been until you look back at all of the games you actually played. From physics puzzlers to ninja simulators, 2012's library was full of interesting, creative, unique experiences. I played a lot of games last year. A few were bad.

Of the many great easter eggs in Torchlight II (I particularly liked the tribute to The Goonies in the first act), many were for other video games—from Borderlands to Minecraft . I'm not sure how I didn't immediately catch this humorous Skyrim tribute, but I didn't—thanks to Torc
One of the big differences between Torchlight II and Diablo III is that in Torchlight II , it's much more difficult to re-spec your character and choose new skills. You can visit a vendor in town to undo your last three skill upgrades, but past that, you're probably stuck with th
Just because there've been a lot of humble indie bundles over the last few years doesn't mean they're any less of a good deal. The latest humble bundle offers a crapload of good games, all for whatever price you want to pay. For as little as you want, you'll get EFF , (Wait, that
