Security Update
This update upgrades the game to the latest LTS version of Unity, patching a critical security vulnerability affecting every game currently using the engine. You can read more about this issue in this post on Unity's site.
Known issue: Unfortunately this forced update introduces an input issue when playing with a mouse on Linux, that makes it impossible to click and drag tiles. If you're affected by this, you can choose to opt in to the legacy branch via the game's properties, which will install the previous version of the game.
Bug fixes
Fixed a nasty bug that would leave the tiles of certain regions incomplete when you zoomed in.
Sequel News!
If you're looking for more puzzle, the demo for my next game Mosaic of the Strange is featured in this month's Steam Next Fest:
The game launches on November 7th, but the playable demo is out right now.
This is the most ambitious game yet in the Mosaic series:
New optional Advanced Deduction mechanics for hardcore players,
Five difficulty levels that you can switch between anytime - the solution stays the same, but the clues get harder,
Over 100,000 tiles (nearly double Proverbs!),
The puzzle now spans multiple interconnected locations - two of which are in the demo,
You’ll get to help FBI Special Agents Cullen and Brady as they investigate a bizarre murder, building their case by researching 125 real-world paranormal files. All progress from the demo carries over to the full game, so feel free to take your time exploring every corner.

Hello everyone, I have exciting news! Proverbs is now available to purchase for $8.99 with a limited-time 10% launch discount!
If you previously played the demo, your progress will automatically transfer over to full version. And I've been hard at work making some big improvements in this update:
Enhanced Proverbs
Images from Pieter Bruegel’s original painting now appear in the proverbs pop-up, adding context and depth to your discoveries:
Zoom Upgrade
Numbers are now visible at greater zoom levels, allowing you to take a wider view of each region:
Region Highlighting
Hover over a tile, and neighbouring tiles in that region will be subtly highlighted for easier calculation:
More improvements
Soundtrack Expansion: Added 7 new tracks, doubling the length to 45 mins to help you get your renaissance chill on.
Achievements Galore: 94 achievements to unlock, providing hours of engaging challenges.
Improved Art: Tweaked the entire illustration to better convey each proverb.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed tile flickering issue - Fixed a range of font and localization issues
Upcoming changes
There's still some important changes that couldn't quite make it into the first release of the game, but you can expect these to arrive within the next few days:
Better Solution: I'm continuing to work on an updated board where the solution better matches the final image. When this arrives, the game will automatically migrate your save without losing any progress.
Clearer region borders: Solved regions still currently have tinted borders, making them slightly harder to see than the normal black and white lines.
