Bug fixes a plenty! Every mode: * Minimap no longer micromap, sorry about that. * Commando knife no longer defeats shields, also sorry! * Enemies who jump or teleport or whatever should no longer occupy your tile in rare cases. You'll either be knocked away or they will land some
Gamepad updates The big one: r3 (right stick click, though you can set it to whatever) cycles through targets in front of you! Does this make things too easy? Is it just right? We shall find out. Raid Metamessiness Fixed up some things here, you can progress from Overcast to Twil

More smol fixes, there was another soft lock with the Remote Turret in raid mode, got that whipped. Upgraded the level up and flag capture screens, will be adding some sound to those soon too. Trees that burn down no longer leave log cover behind. Bugs bugs.
In addition to fixing a number of controller bugs (including one show stopper if you happen to be playing on your couch via a docked Steam Deck, yikes) I added some new flair to the raid chest opening animations, because I got some great new tunes for them. But now those animatio
1.5.1 : Raid Mode updates, a contest, and hella bug fixes Also some new trees State of Raid Score Attack The State of Raid event in Raid Mode, which appears every time the threat meter caps and you advance a threat level, now has score attack elements. You get a 20% bonus for all
New Campaign Mode Mission: The Train! This is easily the most exciting part of the update, right? A whole new mission between levels 5 and 6 (now 7!) that has the Commando on a moving train rushing through a canyon in the island. It's actiony, a run-and-gun refresher between the
I was told that "1.4.0.F" would be bad so it's E+1. Y'all try the Contra Roll yet? Come on it's awesome. Hold the Contra Roll button (shift or gamepad A) while you have the knife out and your roll will rotate you to face the direction you rolled away from. Great when you need to
May 2024 The first lines of code for Eye of the Commando are written during a game jam. The game launches in early access later that year, and work continues to this day. What can you expect at launch? Campaign Mode: A second act, and more interesting gear. Revisiting Act I Lesso

Raid Mode is Live! No longer consigned to the MAGFest demo, you can play Raid Mode right now on main. "Start Game" will give you the option to start in either Campaign or Raid and you go from there. Full details below, but the most important part is that there is a Raid Mode Lead
We're at MAGFest in the MAGFest Indie Videogame Showcase! Our very first booth, on a shoestring budget, but hey it's a good time and people are enjoying the build. You can too, from the comfort of your own home. Beta Build: The Raid "Make a roguelike mode" x 100 -- you have been
Fix for broken data in the credits scene -- made for a rather jarring and boring ending, sorry about that. Added a couple of new hair colors, including "Normal coloured brown hair" by request from WanderingHero who wanted to live his own commando dream.
Bug Fixes / QoL * Fixed the one-shots that were happening from some boss weapons and explosions. These weren't intentional. * Commando can no longer RPG himself to death, that wasn't intentional either. * Fixed some weirdness between saves, and some crashes on level transitions.
Fixed up some bugs that could occur with saves, if you got stuck at the end of level 2 for instance, you should be ok now. Changed up how pathfinding works, it'll be for the better in the long run, but if you happen to read these patch notes and then find enemies stuck in places
If you were having trouble loading saves, that should be fixed now. Also corrected some stuff with knockback on slime enemies, and the music fading out if you restart the first level.
Kept You Waiting, Huh? Been a minute since the last patch, I know. Work continues on this game, nearly every day, just in short controlled bursts. It isn't exactly paying the bills, but I'm dedicated to it (and you , dear player) and will see it through. I'm having a great time w
Corrected a few minor issues, and one major one: saving and loading shouldn't break on level 2 anymore. Pay no attention to the knife in the bottom right of the UI.
Saving and loading now available for those who don't want to play all six areas back to back. The game will autosave in an autosave slot at the start of every area, but you have four other save slots to do with as you please. Loading a game will disqualify the run from the speedr
