Towerbolt at Summer Games Done Quick 2026!

The Speedrunning Update is NOW available for Towerbolt! (V1.01.00) This is a free update that brings the following features below to the game, all focused around speedrunning quality of life and making it easier for folks to go for fast times throughout the game!
🏁 Global Leaderboards For Each Ranked Floor - Compete for the world's best time throughout most floors of the Tower!
👻 Player Ghosts - Race against a ghost of your fastest playthrough of any ranked floor.
🔄 Repeat Level Mode - Want to rapidly replay a level over and over to practice it or to push up your score on the leaderboards? Use the new Repeat Level Mode to repeatedly play a level infinitely, toggleable at any time during gameplay.
Along with these larger features, a collection of various bugfixes and adjustments have been applied to this update of the game. Among the notable changes:
More aggressive adjustments to the visuals of the game while Reduce Flashing is enabled. More objects are dimmer, flash less, and the game's global Post FX are disabled.
New file reset options that allow you to keep your previous best floor completion times and player ghost data when starting a new game.
By design, Pressing "X" to restart a level used to only work in levels with a kill laser. Restarting this way will now work across any level in the game.
The demo for Towerbolt also carries all of these changes with this update, but do note that Global Leaderboard and Player Ghost functionality are disabled in that version of the game.
To the folks who have been playing the game fast, I sincerely hope these features enable you to play your best help make speedrunning the game more fun!

Towerbolt is now fully Steam Deck Verified! ✅ The game was fully playable in previous builds on Steam Deck, but now with some controller button prompt fixes, it is now fully within Steam's guidelines for Steam Deck compatibility. Enjoy playing the game on Deck!
Unique Controls screen is shown if you're playing on Steam Deck
Player collision issues with the red cage object on F11 are fixed
Final game area SFX plays properly when "Reduced Flashing" is enabled
"Bolter Charged" achievement triggers properly when skipping its cutscene
Horizontal Light Rail permanent speed boost bug should now be fixed
Added a confirm prompt for Quit to Desktop, to prevent accidental game closing
Small visual change to Transport Sector BG art

It's been a long time coming, thank you all so much for the wait!
In preparation for the launch, I have also updated the Steam demo as well with a few extra nice things! Here is a broad list of demo changes:
The final launch set of Accessibility options (including Assist Mode)
A revamped end screen that better showcases your end time and Cyberchips gathered during your run
Minor level design changes on various floors and tutorial level updates
SFX updates
Font updates and bigger text across the board
Various minor bugfixes carried over from the main game development
and more!
