Spilled! went from 3,000 wishlists to over 11,000 in a little more than a week.
How did we get these wishlists? It's a few things.
- Wholesome Games featured me on their collective 500k+ following social media.
- Cozy Quest steam sale.
- Me posting on Twitter about the crazy wishlist spikes!
I'm insanely happy, since people recommend you get 7-10k wishlists before you release your game, and we've already cleared that! I never thought Spilled! would get this many wishlists. It's still a little hard to believe!
New area finished
As you might now, the publicly available Steam demo of Spilled! features area 1, 2 and 3 of the game. I've continued work towards the full game, and have now finished area 4 as well. DISCLAIMER: The Demo will NOT have area 4 and onwards.
This area is of the Rock Biome. The underwater world is designed from the ground up with this in mind! It also features some new types of fish!
Area 4 also introduces small quests. This quest has you bring this lost beachball to this little boat!
There's also new animals to find and rescue! I won't spoil the other, but one of them is a crocodile!
I'm already working on the fifth area of the game now, which will introduce wildfires!
You can most likely expect that in the next newsletter in 2 weeks time!
I got a day job
I pretty much got hired at my local small supermarket for 2 days a week! I'll be starting tomorrow :) I'm looking forward to it, it will get me out of the 'house' more.
And of course it will allow me to keep working on Spilled! the rest of the time.
As mentioned before I'm also looking into getting funding for Spilled!, but this would mostly be to be able to hire a marketing company! We'll see how this day job goes; I believe it can bring a nice balance :)
